Default Burning oil

3 months ago i purchased a 2006 XC70. Had a near complete carafe history of maintenance. It seems to run great and i am getting 24.9mpg around the roads here in Maine. I seem to be using about a quart of oil every 1000 miles. Is this normal? I see no oil leaks anywhere. Thanks, Gordon

I would venture a guess that your crankcase breather system is plugged up and oil is being consumed by the engine instead of being routed back into the oil separator and back to the oil pan.

PM me and I can give you more indepth information.
