Default CV joint /axel replacement 1 or 2?

Hello , I just replaced the drivers side cv axel on my 2002 xc70 , now when I accelerate I feel a shimy /shake or vibration when getting up to speed , it kinda feels like its coming form the drivetrain( transmission) but not sure , should I have replaced both sides ? please help ,thanks in advance . S

i think you have problem with bolts

When you say that you replaced the axle, was it new or rebuilt?

The shudder that you describe is a symptom of worn axles. Today, the boots will outlast the car but the joints inside wear and thus, the bounce that you feel.

I replace both with NEW APWI units. They are great quality and easily available through Rock Auto.
