I was changing the brakes the other day and noticed some grease leaking from the right side half shaft. I asked the mechanic at the shop that I go to for repairs and he said that it has some play in it as well and should be replaced. He quoted around 450.

I browsed the other day and found the part for around 125. Has anyone done this before. I haven't been turning wrenches since I was in a crib or anything, but I am fairly capable mechanically. Is this something that is fairly easy, or does it require a ton of labor?

Are there any gotcha's to look out for?
