Default DIM/instrument Cluster Black-Out fix Work around !

I bought a 2002 XC70 and it has the dreaded DIM/Instrument Cluster intermittent Black-Out condition. The dealers price is just rediculous!I have seen that repair company out of Cananda O something lol
Repair of removed Dim at $350 or replacement for $400. This is by far the best option, considering they offer a life-time warranty. But I didn't have the cash and needed to get on the road with a speedometer!
I bumped into a YouTube video about a ODBII blue tooth device that can bring up to 155 different gauges on a Bluetooth enabled device, supporting both IOS and Android. Ultra-Guage Blue

I said what the heck, I decided to give it a shot.
For less than $90 bucks, if it works ?

UltraGauge Blue Alarms

I got it in the main and it wasn't to difficult install, once you figured out the hidden instructions to get the app invitation link.

I have to say that I'm really happy with it, it performs as advertised !
Also I have the ability to read and clear codes. It also can store up to 10 different vehicles information.

I have it linked to my iPad and prop it up on the center console and it works great ! I do plan on repairing the DIM soon but it's a relief to know that I have something that really works for a replacement

Default Srs

I to be honest, I have not tried to clear any codes or warning lights with it yet.I'm just happy to have some gauges. I plan on having it repaired soon anyways.
