Default Looking for Recommendation where to fix my xc70 2010

Hi

After my engine light went on on a return trip and a bolt for the manifest was replaced by a generic mechanic (who put it on his own computer and got a reading for catalytic converter), the engine light was reset and has not gone on again. However several other things have happened - on ignition I get a message about my brake and at times low battery. The latest was that my coolant was low (topped it up) but all this happened after buying a replacement fob that was programmed with my car. Wondering if any updates could have triggered computer problems and most importantly where to go in the GTA
to put it on the computer and figure out what's happening. If anyone can recommend an honest volvo mechanic (not a dealership please) I would be very appreciative.

Thanks
chai

Location?

Not following the symptoms - is bolt for the "manifest" auto-correct for manifold? That actually makes sense since an exhaust leak can trigger a P0420 (cat efficiency code). Fix the exhaust, code goes away.

As to your other errors, voltage events like a low battery warning can set off random false positive codes. the sensible path is to identify the cause of the low battery light (ie cables, battery, alternator/voltage regulator), read/record/clear fault codes and if something resets, then go from there.

Keep an eye on the coolant level - if you see the level change over the next tank or so of gas, you have a leak that needs to be sorted out.

As to the fob and reprogramming, not likely related to any of these issues.
