New Member & Some Important Questions
Hello folks!
Just joined the Volvo forum as a new owner of a Volvo 2001 XC-70. I sure hope I will really enjoy all the members of this forum. I have been (still is) on some wonderful automobile forums with wonderful members. Unfortunately, I would like to start off with some questions I would like answered.
1. Where can I get a "good" electronic repair manual? One I can have locally on my computer and not an online version.
2. Someone has a set of Volvo tires from a 2005 S40 model. I was told by the local Volvo dealer parts that it won't fit my 2001 XC70 since the hub would not fit the XC70. The rim has on the inside, the designation : 71x17x52.5 and has five bolts.
3. The car has only one key. I would like to produce extra keys, but would actually would like to 'remake' the key by removing the door and steering ignition drums and take them to the locksmith in town to create a set of new configured keys. Is this possible?
4. Anyone ever installed a remote starter on their car? Two dealers here make me feel it's a pain on put remote starters on a Volvo. True?
