Exclamation Newbie with an XC70 gas problem

Hello! I purchased a '09 XC70 3.2 14 days ago with 52,000 miles and a 2000 mile. Nice car- so excited! Three days later it died as I was driving home and while it said that I had 100 miles to empty, the tank was bone dry. The Ford dealership, where I bought it, "called down the road to the dealership" and discovered that the "gas tank sensor" was bad. I was told this was a known problem and that Volvo was fixing these for free. It was fixed and I got the back 5 days later. I then drove it for 3 more days, filled up the tank on Friday and had the same exact thing happen as I was down I95 last night- with "120 to empty". Since the service dept. is closed today, the dealership is giving me a loaner and looking at the car again since I am still under
My questions are these: Should I DEMAND a Volvo mechanic to look at it? Ford owns Volvo so I would think that shouldn't be an unreasonable request.
Do I also ask for another 2000 mile warranty from the dealership?
Any advise would be helpful- my husband wants to give the car back but I love it. I wrecked my S60 and have been waiting patiently for a
Thanks and this website is so interesting to read and learn from!

Thanks!

Melanie

Never hurts to ask- demand it gets fixed right this time- does not sound like a really bad issue- may just have to fill up a little more often and keep track of theirs you are using
