I'm at a loss as to the cause of this. The trip computer and DIM (left hand side of the instrument cluster) wasn't working when I bought the motor which I didn't notice, it's a 2006. I've checked the wiring on the stalk and the controls on that do nothing. Took the cluster out but I can't see anything untoward at all, rest of this works fine other than the warning triangle above the full beam light. Tried disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes as suggested on some other forums but still no luck. Does anyone have an idea as to how I could get this display to function.

 

Do you not get any messages in the left lower corner display? door open etc?

Early cars had a seperate light incandescent light bulb - I thought by 2006 it was LED.

 

No nothing at all and there's definitely no bulb that could have gone

 

You may have a bad DIM, common symptoms and these folks can solve that

Thanks mate. Not in the US I'm afraid but there's someone here who can sort it for a reasonable cost. My mate hooked it up to his diagnostics and did a full light test on the dash and everything works besides the display and the triangle warning so it's put my mind at ease a bit that I know what it is and can get it sent away and repaired
