I am a huge car enthusiast looking top dip my toes into the Volvo brand with a late model (p3) XC70 to serve in my fleet as a long term daily (replacing my dead reliable 15 civic). This is my first time posting on this form.

I have spoken with several Volvo mechanics and they couldn't recommend any one particular engine for an AWD XC70 in terms of reliability and / or performance so I figured I would check out the forums. I would ideally like to purchase a loaded XC70 AWD platinum with upgraded audio and all the safety features. I know the car can be optioned with several motors T5, T6, inline 5 turbo, inline 6, and there may even be a V6 or a turbo inline 6 based on what i have read (but I may very well be confused).

My real question is, for a 2014 - 2016 P3 AWD XC70 platinum, in terms of engine longevity and performance which is the motor / spec to have in the long term?

Any advice or help is greatly appreciated.
