changed oil in wife's 2004 xc70. i have forgotten how to reset regular maintenance reminder. any and all help is appreciated. thanks

 

turn key to position 1.
press and hold trip button until trip zeros out.
when zeroed out turn key to position 2 until light flashes

it does not work in my 2004 V70R...info triangle blinks, beep sounds, reminder stays on. If I hold reset button in position I long enough a number 045 comes on in a message display, turning to position II changes nothing regardless how long the is held.

 

Put key into ignition...
Press and hold left Trip ****...
Turn Key to Run Position, Position 2...
Wait for Service Triangle to Flash...
Release left Trip ****...
Turn Key to Off Position...
Turn Key to Run Position, Position 2... to Confirm Service Reset!

 

I did it many times - it still does not reset the reminder. Triangle flashes, I release the trip ****. key on - off to 2, reminder comes on again...
