Default RH Rear Parking Lamps intermittent

Hi Folks. First post, Looking for some hints Re an intermittent RH rear tail lamp not working (Intermittent) and I have a message on the dash telling me “Bulb Failure Position Light”. I am stumped at this point. I just bot the car. This is my 2nd 2007 XC70. I love these vehicles. Reliable and easy to fix for the most part. OK, I changed the lamps, I swapped lamps side to side, All the fuses are good. Yes, i removed and checked the fuses with my meter and reinstalled. When I bot the car, it now has 173K, a Texas vehical so no rust, clean as a whistle under neath and in the engine area. It’s sweet but I have this one issue to resolve. When I got it a couple months ago, everything worked. The selling owner (2nd owner who owned for 2 months) disclosed that there was one problem that was repaired by the same Volvo dealer the entire time since new. The fuse box in the rear on the LH side was replaced when troubleshooting this problem. The 2nd owner gave me the replacement fuse box that had been removed. I asked for it since they disclosed it had been replaced. So continuing from above, lamps exchanged and (LH side works but RH side) still not working. The next morning was colder outside. I removed and replaced he previous day, the lower RH lamp, the bigger one of the 2 lamps in the parking lamp circuit. Are you following so far? Now the top RH lamp is working. I next reinstall the RH lower lamp again. Turn the key and now all parking lamps are working. Voila, right! The next day ready for a drive and both RH rear lamps do not work, AGAIN!! Next I remove the lamps and clean the lamp sockets and contacts where they make contact with the lamp circuits. Next, I exchange the RH lower rear lamp plastic fixture. I had one from my other car with a broken Lense only. All the lamps had worked on it. When installed, all the RH rear lamps once again did not come on . I have run a continuity Ck from the fuse block itself to the grey wire at the RH rear socket itself and all is good on that wire. Remember, the lamps have worked a couple times and then failed. Is it a temperature sensitive issue? Maybe a wire making a ever so slight contact to the ground somewhere? Could it be a wiring issue running to front end of the vehical back to the rear LH fuse block? It must be an intermittent wire, a bad fuse block Assy or I might need new batteries in my VOM ........Looking for a good Sparky’s view on this. This one Has me spooked at this time. Let me know what guys think. Any and all comment would be appreciated. I have overlooked the obvious somewhere? Thanks in advance.
