S40 Position Lamps (and my run in with the law)!
Ok, I know this was my own stupid fault but I can laugh about it now ...
Those flamin' position lamps on the S40. I dont like them and I want rid (orange lamp on each corner)!
Now, I thought I had found the solution; Could it really be something as simple as pulling the fuse for the position lamps in the fusebox in the engine bay? Well, I thought so until I was pulled last night for not having rear lights - News to me officer, I will sort that out thankyou very much - phew, no fine.
I find it crazy that pulling a fuse marked 'position lamps' would kill the rear lights also (not the brake lights just the rear driving lights).
So, is there a way around this, short of putting the fuse back in and taking out all of the individual bulbs for the four position lamps? Which actually brings me nicely to my next question ...
How on earth do you get the lenses out for each of the position lamps? Is it as simple as prising them out or am I likely to snap something? Either way I guess I have to have a go as one of the bulbs has died anyway.
Thanks for any suggestions.
