I just purchased a 2008 XC70 with 107K mi. The car is in beautiful cosmetic and mechanical condition.
One of the very few perplexing issues are the speedo and tach pointers. At night, when you take your eyes off the road to look at the gauges, initially you cannot find the speedometer or tachometer needles. Then you can barely make them out even when the instrument lighting control is set to maximum. The needles are a very weak pale red.
Has anyone had similar experience and if so any tips on how this can be fixed/improved?
