Water leaking aft of A-pillar.
Ok, been going on for a while. Can't figure it out. My first thought is a dry-rotted moon-roof seal, and plugged moon-roof drain holes (have not investigate yet, as need to swap my alarm module). My second thought is a bad windshield seal, that isn't particularly noticeable, as it's all intact. Lastly I popped off the windshield side trim pieces, and aside from a fair amount of rotted leaves and such on the upper right side, just forward of the roof-rail mount, the left side appeared relatively clean. Water leakage is more noticeable on the drivers side, to the extent that if left outside in the rain for longer periods, water will pool on the floor mat. As I have mentioned in the past, this '03 model has spent it's life outside (not garaged) before I got, and it sat for a couple of years before I put it back in service a couple years ago. Thanks, Mark
There are tubes that run down behind the trim on the inside of the A pillar. When they plug up or heat up and cool down they pull apart. You will need to Get some new tubing and make a new connection as the current tubes are too short.
They look like the same clear tubing that runs out of your furnace or ac to drain condensation. You can buy it fairly cheap from your nearest home depot. I would also recomend pulling up your carpets as the are thick and will be saturated with water and start to smell. I am not entirely sure how different the 70 series is from the 40 but I had to do this on my sisters s40 2 years ago. It has been dry since.
