I am in the market for a 7-seater, and don't fancy either an XC90 or an SUV, but would rather an estate on the basis the 7 seats would only be used very rarely.

I love the look of the new XC70 (post-2007) but I have a fear that the 7 seat option was/is no longer. Can anybody confirm this, and whether there is any chance this option will return?

If it's gone I presume this is a health and safety issue?
