intermittent no start
1995 940 2.3 turbo has hard or no start on random occasions. Pressing gas pedal slightly makes engine try to start, but not quite. Other sources indicate this is a classic idle air control valve symptom. Have cleaned IAC a month ago and problem was mostly solved, so this time I got a used IAC from junkyard, cleaned it and installed it but no success. I put battery voltage to this part and it rotates fine and snaps back as voltage is removed. Tried starter fluid and seems not to help. Have cleaned plugs, rotor and cap. Tried to test fuel pressure but the test valve is installed in such an awkward orientation that I cannot hook up my tester. Have not had fuel system problems before, but ? Car has been running great for 6 weeks and getting 20 to 24 MPG. Have already replaced crank position sensor, so what else should I check? Thanks.
