Default Need advice on possible purchase of a '71 Volvo 142s

I recently made a post about the possible purchase of a '79 242 here: https://volvoforums.com/forum/volvo-...ng-help-58362/

Now I came across a '71 Volvo 142s. Coincidentally, I saw this car in front of my apartment building recently and was drooling over it. It just came up for sale for only $1000, actually well below my price range this time. I will be checking it out tonight and was wondering what I should look for. How hard are the parts to come by? And, being such a cheap purchase, how quickly should I expect this to become an expensive purchase?

The owner stated that she's owned it for 6 months and has used it as a daily driver. She claimed it has a new alternator, battery, starter, a bunch of other stuff. It also has a manual 4 speed transmission with a overdrive switch.

So, is this as awesome of a deal as I think it is? I need some advice here from the experts. This would by far, be the oldest car I've ever owned and only my 2nd Volvo.

Here are some photos:

Ok, so now I'm checking this car out tomorrow instead of today. Picked up an extra shift, and so did the seller. So it all worked out. I'd still really like some advice. I'm going to guess that this forum isn't nearly as active as some of the vintage BMW sites I'm on, which would be the reason to the lack of response.

Will 240 parts go into this car?
