V90 auto - engine cutting out
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what is causing an intermittent problem which has been occuring since our R reg V90 auto had a service at Clelands in Galasheils.
The engine has developed an apparently random habit of attempting to cut out; sometimes it does so, and other times it just splutters and returns to normal.
The problem is not temperature related and does not happen when the engine is cold. It can happen any time after 15 minutes into a journey and can happen several times within 1 relatively short journey. When the engine cuts out, it can sometimes be started again straight away, or sometimes it takes several attempts. It happened once straight after overtaking another vehicle!
Our local (non Volvo) garage has managed to re-enact an "event" but the onboard computer did not indicate any problem.
To date the following items have been replaced:
fuel filter, relay for fuel pump, impulse sensor (suggested by Clelands).
Any suggestions anyone?

Have just had a new ignition switch installed (at the suggestion of the garage). This has made no difference. Made a journey of approx 20 miles and the car "attempted" to stall when travelling through town at about 30 mph, but it quickly recovered 2-3 seconds later. It again attempted to stall when travelling at about 60 mph a few minutes later. Everyone seems baffled by the problem, and I feel unable/unwilling to make lengthy journeys in case the car actually stalls and refuses to start again somewhere remote!
