I would like to change the rear axle gear set to 3.90 to 1 for better highway driveability on my 1968 Volvo Wagon. Has anyone done this swap? Is a P1800 defferential (rear axle) interchangeable?

Hi Kirk...of course it's been done. There is very little on Volvos that haven't been swapped, modded or done away with. Do you have an M40 or M41 transmission? Since it's a wagon, I'm guessing the M40. Ask his question on swedespeed.com in the appropriate area. I guarantee that they can help ya!
