Default 1990 240 Window motor / switch problem

So this morning my driver's side window switch stops working, or should i say the window wont go down, all the other windows work fine from the driver's door, and when i hit the driver's window switch it draws current because the lights and guages dim like normal, but the window doesnt move. I opened up the door and slammed it, and it began to work like normal again, but then after i got out of work it was stuck again, even slamming the door didnt do it. So idk whats up with it, like i said when i hit the switch the lights dim as if the motor is getting current but maybe something is stuck? or frozen? we had a lot of rain two days ago and it was in the 20's today so that could be it i guess, any thoughts?

thanks,

~jeff

Glad you got the window down but it begs the question, why are you driving around in 20F with the window down?

But as far as it working in the warmer weather...Nothing in there should be freezing, electrically or mechanically, and certianly not at 20. It could be iceor else the window motor is getting older and starting to lock up ... that is how is usually starts. What you don't want is forthe motor to die in the down position. I don't know of anywork aroundto get the window back upexcept to take it apart.

Hey but what do I know about freezing? A cold snap here is in the 50s
