I just bought a used 2008 Volvo S80 T6. The case on the DVD entertainment system was fine until I actually tried using it by pulling the tab forward to insert the DVD. After a few times, there's now stress cracks on the outer shell. I'm guessing the plastic has lost its flexibility over time and the owner before probably barely ever used it.

I'm considering using Sugru to reinforce the outer casing. It's going to look a little ugly, but I figure that super glue won't help with the case's flexibility and will end up stress cracking elsewhere.

Anyone have this happen? Or, is there an easy way to replace the front panel's plastic casing without spending a fortune?
