Default DVD Entertainment System problems

I'm having intermittent problems with my OEM DVD Entertainment System. Sometimes the screens go black while watching and we're unable to turn the DVD back on or eject the DVD. The screens will just flash and the speakers are "popping" (pulse / strobe effect) when I press the remote power button. After turning off the ignition and and waiting a few minutes the system seems to reset itself to "normal". My local Volvo dealer is unable to "replicate" the error. This offcourse happens only when we're on the road with the kids screaming and no Volvo dealer in sight. Has anyone else experienced and (hopefully) resolved this?

Final update on this. My Volvo Dealer shop finally replaced the DVD unit under warranty and we've not had any porblems since then.

We have had occcasional issues with ejecting DVDs. I have not talked with the Dealer about it. The wife is probably doing something wrong.....
