CD Changer Issues
Hey, everyone! Complete newbie to the Volvo scene, just came upon a '94 850 after crashing my car.
Recently purchsed a CD Changer off ebay to add to the vehilce. Volvo 6 Disc changer manufactured by Alpine. Came with the extension harness to connect from the large din connector off the Changer to the small din on the back of the HU, which is a SC-816.
Question, does the changer require a seperate power feed or does it pull the power through the din connection. There are two additional wires sticking out the harness on the HU end after the inline fuse that have been cut. I am guessing that was probably the power connector which is now missing.
As is connected I get EEEE on the display if I try switching to the changer and there seems to not be any power going to the changer at all. Sorry, if i an duplicating a previous post, but I have been unsuccessful in searching for any answers.
Thanks...

RE: CD Changer Issues
So Tech, I am guess that I would need to connect them to the 16/1 wire harness that connects to the radio. If I understand the pinouts for that connector I would have to connect the Power lead to either 4 or 12 position (Battery + 12V) and then the ground to either 6 or 14 (Ground)
Anyone, know if that sounds about right?
