iPod Integration for 1998 Volvo S70 T5
Hey guys,
I'm planning on buying an iPod (perhaps a Touch), and I was wondering if anyone knew of any places that offer iPod integration kits for a 1998 Volvo S70 T5. My car has the original factory radio with single CD. Any help is much appreciated

Enfigcaraudio, discountcaraudio or discountcarstereo one of the other.
I am using a BlitzSafe iPod adapter. It used a 12v source and the CD Changer input on the back of the headunit. It doesn't allow the use of your radios controls to control the iPod. However it works very well and I like it.
Also there is the USA SPEC which I believe can let you use the radio controls I believe these companies sell this brand as well and I believe IPD USA still sells it too.

If your getting the touch like I have get the USA SPEC CB-PA85 cable to charge it. The one with the kit does not change the iPod.

Ah, thanks for that info. In all likelihood, I will buy an iPod Touch soon. Since I know very little about cars and car electronics as such, could you tell me exactly where and what you bought to make your Touch work in your car? I just dont want to purchase the wrong kit or find out I missed something. Thanks.
enfigcarstereo
I bought it from the above link.
BlitzSafe iPod Adapter
And that is the one I bought.

Hmmm, I like the price on the one you have, but I would like to be able to control the library through the radio to minimize distractions from the unit. I suppose I'll go with USA Spec's kit, plus the 3G cable that is required for charging it. I'll see if I can call them tommorow to confirm the parts are available.
UPDATE:
Well, after a long time of waiting to buy the integration kit, I finally went ahead and bought it from USA Spec, and upon arrival, I had it installed at a professional shop. I had it routed through inside the center console and out the lid on top by drilling a hole in the little removable section. The only cable exposed is the actual cable that connects to the bottom of the iPod. It both charges and plays the iPod (I have a 2nd gen Touch), and the sound quality is superb, like an actual CD. The entire integration kit came out to be $160, which may be a bit steep, but totally worth it for this kind of sound quality. I definitely recommend it.
