Default iPod Integration on Stock 850 System

I have the stock sound system, non-premium, in my 1996 850. I hear there is an easy way to integrate the iPod into it by using the CD Changer jack (I don't have a changer installed). Is this true?

Right now I have one of the FM transmitters but I am finding that it's dying out after four years of use. In fact, it's so bad that I don't even use it anymore except to charge my iPod for the gym. (I've gone back to playing tapes...got my old case of tapes out once again...which is fine since I like classical music...hooray for the old Bose performance collection tapes).

Your HU (Head Unit) might have a CD Chnager port on the back of it. Does it say CHGR on it? Should be above the Treble slider. If so you have the option of a CH Changer. Which in turn means you can add an Ipod adapter.

BlitzSafe Ipod Adapter is what I have and it is hooked up via the CD Changer port in the back. Now you have no control over the Ipod via the Head Unit. You must control all songs via the Ipod itsself. The only thing you can do with the actual stereo controls is turn the volume up or down.

There are two links for you to purchase the BlitzSafe Ipod adapter.
