RCA connectors for adding aftermarket amp
Hi All i came across a set of RCA connectors that connect to the cables that come from the head unit to the Factory amp for adding an aftermarket amp, but i can't seem to find that link anymore. Does anyone know of such a product and if there is where to find it. I have a 2004 S60 2.5T AWD with the premium sound system with 10 speakers i like how my factory speakers sound but think they could use a little more power i want to add a new amp maybe 100Wrms X 4 and a sub. Any help would be nice.
thanks again.

RE: RCA connectors for adding aftermarket amp
i was not aware they had RCA connectors between teh factory HU and the factory amp... when i did mine it has some propritory cable going from HU to amp then standard speaker wiring harness runs from amp to behind HU... i simply unhooked the factory amp and wired up my harness adapter under the passenger seat going from my aftermarket amp... but i was completely replacing the factory HU.. if you are keeping the stock HU buy a rockford fosgate 360.3 , or a JL audio cleansweep. tis will enable you to run that low lever or high level signal and it will flatten out the eq curve and give you RCA outputs.

MTX also makes a module to add aftermarket amplifiers to stock systems. There is the REQ and the REQ5. http://www.reqsound.com/
There are also cheapy modules you can buy for around $20. http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/S...id/0/SFV/30046
I don't recommend these since the stock head units when turned to higher volumes, limit bass to prevent you from damaging your system. This doesnt help with that. The REQ does.
