Air Conditioner Stil not working - Stumped
My 2002 V70 air conditioner not blowing cold air.
It has enough coolant, I used AC Pro and the gauge said there is enough air conditioning coolant. I measured the compressor gap and its .30. When the air conditioner is running the compressor kicks on ever maybe 30 or 45 seconds or so for only about 5 seconds then releases again and shuts off, then repeats this sequence over and over again, but no cold air. And the compressor does not kick on when I first turn the air conditioner on.
My wife had the air conditioner fixed several years ago and paid about $900 at the dealer for the repair. Now it's doesn't blow any cool air at all and seems to have stopped working again. I can't figure out what's wrong since everything that I checked looks OK. I think they replaced the compressor when they did the work on the air conditioner, since the compressor looks newer and cleaner than the parts around. I'm stumped as to what else it could be. Help please, it's hot out there, any ideas?

I have a 2008 XC90 and the same issue. Took it to two different auto repair shops and the both said the compressor needs replacing. $1160! I fund refurbished compressors on Ebay for $230. I think I will change it out myself or pick up the compressor and have it installed. I hope you don't have the same issue. I also got to replace both rear hubs.
