Default Replacing a cracked oil pan 2006 Volvo S40 2.4i

Hello,

This is my first post so we'll see how it goes. I have recently cracked my oil pan and I'm looking at replacing it myself. Could anyone please provide me with step by step instructions on how to perform this task? I tried to purchase a 3 day subscription to VIDA but I was unable to get it to work. If any one could send me the VIDA Instructions that would be great too.

Thanks in advance everybody!

Oh my VIN is YV1MS382662218972.

Should not be rocker science. I have done it on my S70 and it should be pretty similar. Drain pan, unbolt every bolt you see holding the pan on from the bottom. Each side will have differently sized bolts. Keep track which bolts were on which side. There might be bolts bolting the pan to the tranmission case. They will be much bigger. The power steering lines may need to be moved out of the way as the pan is wedged in pretty good and you will not have alot of side movement. If you are mechnically inclined you should figure it out pretty easily. Just be pateint.
