Recently had low gas light come on (first time). Stopped to refill. Took off cap and experienced large volume of air release. Attempted refill , but it would only slowly accept only about one half to one gallon before pump shut off even at slow flow.

I am assuming that the low level in tank stirred up some debris in the tank to block the line to the purge valve.

Question: Is it possible to use air pressure to blow out purge line from regulator to tank (with gas cap off) to clear anything that may have become lodged in the line?
