Hi Everyone


I have a 1979 265 GL Wagon and I am struggling to find much info on these years/models. Does anyone here have any insight on these? Are they desirable, rarity, how many were made in 1979?


This one has had somethings done to it. Doesn't have the original Motor now has 302 V-8, auto tranny, posi-trac, dual exhaust. Super clean in really great shape. Was garaged for over 20 years before the previous owner unearthed it and did the motor swap.

Man, I know this is seriously resurrecting an old thread, but did you ever find any info? I have a 1976 with a blown head gasket I bought. Was thinking a V8 swap, but I'd hate to ruin a rare old beauty.
