i am working on a '88 240 4cylinder 5 spd for a buddy i do not know the volvos so any help is appreciated, the problem is, the shifter will go into its spot but like there is no gear there the car just revs like when its in neutral the only gear that the car will move in is 4th gear. is this a common problem with these tranny's? could this be an easy fix like linkage adjustment or should we just junk the tranny and get another one?
