1993 240 DL Intermittant Starting
Recently have been experiencing a major problem starting this car. The check engine light was on for a period of time and the code indicated a bad mass air flow unit even though the car ran perfectly. Once I had the MAF changed the problems really began and three MAF units later still have the problem, car is very difficult to start but once it does it runs fine. Been doing this for about 3 weeks now and have had it act up 3 times over that time. Am being told by my mechanic there is a short somewhere in the wiring between the MAF, O2 Sensor and Fuel Pump. Because it only happens somewhat randomly I am trying to keep from chasing my tail on this. I have read about this problem that others have posted mentioning the Fuel Relay Fuse. Does anyone have any thoughts as to what to do first? Thanks
