, I have a 93 Volvo 850 GLT, bought in Canada, made in Sweden. It hibernates for the winter, and I fired it up for spring time, and all seemed ok. However, I drove it for a bit and then the rad/coolant symbol came on. So I parked it, the res was empty, so i filled up with 50/50 coolant antifreeze. Then started up, after a bit the it was the level was down and then empty in the reservoir, and the warning symbol came back on, and it got foggy inside the front windshield. So turn it off, found out that this car will take about 7 litres of coolant, so i threw in about 6 litres until it stopped settling and was full. Thought it was good, let it run for a bit, and same thing, empty, warning symbol came on, and the foggy inside windshield. turned it off and checked oil and tranny fluid, all normal. Thats where im at with this, no leaking anywhere. Where is this stuff going...I love my volvo, its not a car, its a lifestyle.

 

you probably need a new heater core.

 

Yup....bang on, a bit of 50/50 on the carpet on both sides. Ordered new core, will let Robert guide me as per usual, hes awesome.
