1994 Turbo 850 service records
I bought a really clean White 94 Turbo 850 1 month ago. Did not have any service history accept a few cosmetic clues and conclusions. Then I found a receipt for the tires on the car with the owners name. He'll yeah I said, I called him up and left a message. 2 weeks later after he returned from 3 weeks in Hawaii, he called me up and proceeded to inform me of all of its history. He traded it in about a month before I got the 2 owner Volvo; and in turn the service history went bye bye. BUT! As we were talking on the phone, he told me he had all service history kept on file in his computer from 1998. 15 years worth of every single thing that was performed on the car. From timing belts ,down to info on the spare tire! He emailed it to me and Wow! Priceless info. Too Cool. I thought I would share!

It's great having a matience profile from a person who owned the car when it was only 4 years old. Especially timing belts. My 850 has 150k and the belt was changed at 142k. He kept and logged everything so I can reference this. When I'm driving, I feel so much better about now knowing the fear of the unknowns regarding matience. The previous owner traded it in finally to a Ford dealership, I bet those check engine lights freaked out the labor department and then in turn they sent the car to auction . I say don't let the C E lights on a Volvo scare you. Just requires some Volvo knowledge on these machines.
