Strut Brace and Maintenance Records
I am new to this board and Volvo cars. Bought a 2002 C70 convertible 2.4. The front end has been inspected and everything is working but does the car's structure, being a convertible, seem unstiff? Is there a strut brace out there that will stiffen it up? Also, don't have the histort but does Volvo maintain a national database of maintenance/service done on the car? Have a lexus and can go to any lexus dealerships and get a history of any service done at any lexus dealers.

You can get a strut brace from www.IPDUSA.com.
Volvo does not have a national database on service records but they do keep up with the warranty repairs. If you figure out where the car was last registered (from the CarFox) you can located the nearest dealer and maybe they can tell you if the car was serviced there.
The big thing is the timing belt, PCV system and oil changes. Once purchased it's to late to check on oil changes.
