1995 960 has RPM slow down
I received a Check Engine light- drove it for awhile (about a week) and then I had a problem where the RPM slowed at a stop light (and later a turn) where the engine's RPM went down to about 500 RPMs and then cuts off. After start up and driving awhile the same problem- then as long as the RPMs are kept up the car won't cut out. I checked the codes and it registered a 2-3-3 and then a 1-1-2. (I just got the 960 and it has been pretty well maintained with about 199K miles) the car runs well and need some help on what to do. I never used this daignostic tech before (pre OBD 2). Thanks for any help and what to do where to look- etc Mike

RE: 1995 960 has RPM slow down
checked the vacuum lines- did not notice any problems- cleared all codes- checked the MAF. Ran the car without the MAF- drove it around without the MAF on- it ran worse. Altogether the engine runs excellent great power acceleration- everything except when you stop- it slows down to about 500 RPM then stops. It will start right up but - the same problem- after driving awhile- rec'd check engine - got following codes: 3-2-2 (MAF sensor burnoff); 1-2-1 (MAF signal); and 3-1-4 CMP signal...........cleared those and still same situation. I guess my confusion is with the changed codes- could this all be from taking the MAF out and running it?
