I am a new Volvo 850 owner purchased about a month ago in pretty bad shape, but it ran fine. I was troubleshooting the air conditioning and while doing that, some how ended up gutting the whole Central Electrical Unit. I cut and took apart everything to isolate everything. Now She won't even start : ( Now, I need to start from square one. What bare minimum circuits do I need to run the vehicle? I have been at it for three days now looking at wiring diagrams and trying to start the car. I have been looking at the Starting/charging circuit and have gotten it to crank, but not run. Someone please help!!!!

 

They don't have a CEU, so I am not sure what you mean.

This car is fuel injected, so you need many, many circuits for it to run. Dozens of them. If I was going to make a list, I'd have to use the wiring diagram, same as what you are looking at.

 

The main wiring matrix firebirdparts. Yes, there are dozens of circuits. LOTS of wires going all over the place. I disconnected the whole matrix and what a regret. Now I am having to look at each circuit to see what wire goes where and it is just so exhausting. I really need the car running so im trying to at least turn on and drive. I need to know what circuits i need to make sure are connected in order for the car to run and drive. So, I know the Starting circuit is mandatory. What else? Fuel system?
