1999 volvo S70
I have recently purchased a 1999 S70. thinking wow great car. I have had the car 3 weeks, from the start I have had all the symptoms of the faulty ETM. I called volvo after finding the recall info. The ETM was replaced the software upgrade already done, I am having issues and the ETS light came on. I drove straight to the dealer who can find no problem and the lights are all off. This is of course my luck, I do have one question.
The ETM was replaced but with what? The same faulty module? I have seen posts where people have had to replace them up to 3 times?! Was all that work covered by the 10 year warranty? I will be holding my breath everytime I get into this car with my child.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Recalls must be fixed at the dealer at no charge to the customers, regardless of model year.
Good luck to you, keep us posted on the result if you would.

Dealer "should" correct problem. Some dealers are just wiping
throttle body and down loading new softwear. If the light is
coming on and car is running poorly, the car needs to be
repaired. If the cause is the throttle valve body, dealer needs
to replace it and load new softwear at no charge to you.
I hope this helps.
