I just purchased a 2005 XC90. The Key Pods, remotes, are not currently programmed and do not function. The keys do work so I have them, but the remotes did not have batteries. I put in batteries but the remotes do not work. I am not able to find instructions online and the Volvo dealer is quite expensive on their quote to do the programming.

I did try the instructions for a 2008 but that did not work at all.

Instructions for a 2008 are the same as 2005- you need to go to the dealer. It's been that way for 20 years.
