Default Is the 2005 XC90 T6 a solid car?

I'm looking at a used 2005 Volvo XC90 T6 automatic transmission with 140k miles on it. Seller wants 8000 for it, I love the look and layout of the car, can anyone give me any thoughts on it's reliability, known issues etc? Thanks!

I'm hearing that a lot, do you like the CX70s or same thing? I'm leaning towards a 2008 V70 is great shape, any advice? Thanks.

The XC70 and V70 are much better. 2005 or 2006 XC70 would be a better bet than 2001-2004. The inline 6 in the 2008 had some oil consumption issues. But if that specific 2008 hasn't had a problem yet, it likely won't.

Good to know, the CX90 looks like it guzzles a lot of gas too, on top of not sounding terribly reliable. I like the look of the V70s and the CX70 too. How do you like the V40s and V50s compared to the V70s? I see about an equal amount online, definitely leaning towards a couple clean V70s at the moment. Will be making a move soon.

The XC90 isn't bad as long as you don't get the T6. The 5 cylinder is very reliable.

The V40 and V50 aren't bad.

That's good to know... I was hearing a lot of negative things about the CX90 T6 including transmission problems but nothing about the T5 version. I will keep looking but I am really liking the 2000s V70s.

Funny you also find some really well kept early 90s 240s etc that look great! I found this one:

1992 VOLVO 240 WAGON 1 OWNER SUPER CLEAN!!!

Almost tempting in a really non-realistic way.
