Default 740 newb

Hello. Have been seeking a volvo randomly on my local craigslist, I am currently an 87 subaru driver, and want another daily driver. The old scoob is headed for classic with many many hours of restore, I had no idea what I had done until
I finally looked back at it and said "wow. I have come too far to let maine kill it."
There are tips to learn for every car, and generalizations. The740 wagonI recently spotted gains a non-start condition, and the brakes locked up but freed themself. The owner mentioned a distributor getting wet. From my own experience, I am thinking something bad along the lines of cylinder head, gasket or crack or maybe even a jug leaking. Is this a car i should skip over before inquiring? owner says it runs good. Is it just a case of sitting and hitting dewpoints with aluminum type materials around the ignition? I am looking forward to a volvo, but it needs to be a project like the ad I found...and not a disaster.

Thanks for reply.
