'91 240 Replacement throttle cable seems too long
Hi all! The other night in the center lane on the freeway, I felt my accelerator pedal fall flat to the floor. The cable had snapped. I noticed that the sheath for the cable, between the firewall mounting and the adjusting plate bracket, was contorted and seemed an inch or two too long.
I ordered a gemo replacement, which claims to be oem and it's just as long as the previous sheath. Is this just a funky design, or is there a shorter, more correct cable? It's a base 1991 240 wagon.
Any ideas are much appreciated. Thanks!
