i have a 93 volvo 940 & the sunroof opens but doesnt close, i was told that the switch is bad. anyway i was looking on ebay & seen a sunroof switch from a 1999 850 & 1994 850 & was wondering if i could use 1 of these switches in my car? thanx

edit: btw the switch from the 94 850 looks exactly the same as the 1 in my car now the 99 looks different if that means anything.

 

It should work. Even the one that looks different. But why start putting different looking stuff in the car?

 

because its cheaper & im kinda broke....lol....+ the newer says its been tested & works & the older isnt tested & dont know if it works or not

You may want to try taking your switch apart. I have done that in the past. I have fixed a few, they had what looked to be carbon build up in them. Cleaned it off with a small wire brush.
