Question: Who here has an aftermarket radio?

Double or Single DIN?

Like it? Recommend yours? Does anyone have one that blends cosmeticaly well with their interior?

just curious.

I have a Single DIN in my 1995 850 N/A. Loved it. It was a Pioneer HU and looked decent.

single DIN Pioneer DEH-P880PRS....love it. Blends perfectly with my interior....but my interior is painted. Would look excellent with any interior in the grey spectrum. The text and display fit in with the Volvo's class as it's a kind of cursive font...very classy IMO.

Some useful features: 16 band dual EQ, Time Alignment, Auto EQ (which is a good starting place), adjustable high/low pass filter slopes on the Front, Rear and Sub Woofer channels. Plus, you can turn the internal amp off if you ever decide to get into advanced system build-ups.

I have a 2002 Blaupunkt Casablanca European version with the shortwave channel in my S70. Fantastic radio reception on all 3 bands (am/fm/lw) ! Shortwave is best at night when I can get strong clear reception of the BBC, Radio Norway, and Canadian Broadcasting. AM is digitally processed to remove most of the static an intereference common on AM. FM stereo is about the best ever I have heard.

My only gripe is that I often confuse the power button and the faceplate release button .

Me too! Please let me know how you manage to get it installed? My local installer tried to get Pioneer double din install for me and could not do it, because of the parts of the original radio had to be connected in order to get windows and doors to work.
