There have been plenty of threads about how to use a bread clip to re-shim an aircon that cuts out in hot weather, but I have not seen a bread clip in the UK for years.

Can anyone suggest an alternative to a bread clip that works. I have seen suggestions elsewhere for cut up credit cards or milk cartons but these are very different widths and can't believe both work equally well.

Any suggestions gratefully received.
