I have an ex-police manual XC70 '05 and when I turn the ignition onto position two the Check Engine light comes on for ten seconds then flashes seven times before going out. Nothing displays in the message centre.

Any idea if this is normal or how to detect what maybe wrong?

I've just had a oil leak and a cam belt and oil and filter replaced. The volvo specialist garage said the diagnostic were all clear and they have not seen this before, but the fact it goes out should mean eventhing is okay.

Maybe it is something programmed in the police cars.
