here's a thought - take a hair dryer and blow hot air on the ABS controller and CEM to simulate a warm day. If your codes start popping up you may have a thermal expansion issue creating a short or open. You can also do the opposite - buy some electronics cold spray or compressed air in a can (at an electronics store like Best Buy). when you get your codes, spray the ABS controller to cool it off to see if your codes resolve. Do the same for the CEM.

Should I now be leaning toward the CEM???
If so, why after the car sits for a few days, it starts up fine with no codes then after about 10min of running, all come back?

Or could this be all tied to the high voltage output???
Now my 2012 volvo S80 does the same thing except my radio won't come on and it doesnt recognize it's in park. Did u figure a solution cuz my car has been down 3 months. And I need my car back running!?

Any codes stored in the car/CEM?

Any evidence of water intrusion on the CEM?

Have you considered taking your car to a Volvo Specialist?

Default Brake Failure stop safely 2013 c70

I have had my car for 8 years and never had issues. I took the dealer and had front brakes replaced and 3 weeks later I started getting this error. VOLVO towed it to the nearest dealer and they kept it a week and saw no issues. I told them about brakes being replaced but they said there were no issues and they could find no codes. It worked for them every time. We picked the car up on Thursday around noon. It cranked perfectly. We drove the car several times on Friday no issues. We drove th car Saturday about 100 miles out of town and got there. No issues. The car sat for a few hours and we headed back to our town got 15 miles outside of town and the car stopped for the same issues. Started with brake failure messages and then it started flashing 4 other codes.

We would not cut the car off so the engine stayed on but nothing else worked. When the tow truck driver arrived it would not even go into neutral. We had to tow the car 79 miles back to the dealership and we had to pay 300 dollars because volvo only covered 25 miles.

This is dangerous and it makes no sense w
hy Volvo doesn't see the issue. It has to be a computer software issue

Default Replacing my battery solved this isssue

Hi all, I recently had this happen to my 2012 Volvo C30. Every single thing described in this discussion occurred. Finally, the tow truck arrived to tow it to my mechanic. The guy walked up, turned, and said, "I think it's just your battery."

He replaced the battery with a new one, and it solved the issue.

He says he's seen it on other Volvos, when the battery is getting old, low, weak, or dead, this can happen.

Maybe try replacing your batteries.
