Brake question for my 06' xc90
I need rotors and pads for the front of my xc90. The dealership wants an arm and a leg to do the job (650!). I can't do the job myself and do not want to take it to a dealer.
Is it ok to put on wagner pads like the ones offered by your typical CarX and meineke? I'm having trouble locating someone local and independent that specializes in foreign cars and knows Volvos.
I don't want to jump at a 400 job from Carx. Something seems wrong... Or are brakes for the most part brakes?
Any suggestions for those who have done brakejobs not at the dealership would be helpful..
The pads CarX offered to put on can be found on this link:

thanks all..,

Personally, I love my dealership and wouldn't go anywhere else. I hope no one reads this that works at a meineke or pep boys, but I would never take my car to one of those places. I learned a long time ago there's a reason they work there.
If you still don't like any of the dealers, ask a co-worker or neighbor that seems ****-retentive about cars where they go.
