I would like to get some thoughts regarding buying an older Volvo. We have a local dealer that specializes in Volvos and has a couple older ones for sale. Right now, They have a 240 and a 940. Thanks

Snyder66, may I suggest to you a search of the forum here that is labeled 240,740, and 940 models. These are all older cars that will almost always need some attention (money, parts) to bring up to a certain minimum standard. If you aren't interested in DIY maintenance you'd better be able to put a tidy sum away for contingencies. If you are interested in DIY, this forum is a great place with a lot of knowledgeable folks who are willing to help out if the archives don't reveal the info you need.
