We are looking for a new family car, and when I came across the Volvo XC90 I thought this was the perfect fit for us.

However, I am a little nervous after looking into them a little more. We would definitely need to buy used .... and the ones in our price range are around the 2004-2005 year. All the reviews I've read on them sound, well .... horrible. Mainly transmission issues.

What's your opinion on them?

 

Recommend getting an 07 or newer. Get the V-6 or 8. 05 and 06 had some transmission issues. Please check with you local dealer for more info.

 

There is no V6. And the 5 cylinder is much for reliable than the T6.

 

Yes, avoid T6 . I drive 04 2.5T 5 cylinder 120 K with no any major problems
